Stanbery Park Market in the Park Begins – 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Every Saturday morning from May through October, come to Stanbery Park in Mt. Washington for Market in the Park. Enjoy a variety of activities to make the most of our great park! Meet your neighbors, enjoy nature walks, create free crafts with your kids, and learn about Mt. Washington while you stock up on fresh, healthy produce.

The Cincinnati Observatory will be a the first Market May 4th. The Cincinnati Observatory works to promote astronomical education within the Greater Cincinnati community.

Friday Night Fun: Live Music by Model Behavior, 6:00 – 9:00 pm

Model Behavior is a high-energy cover band that plays upbeat 80’s party rock. We play the tried and true crowd favorites from bands like Journey, Bon Jovi, Joan Jett and Led Zeppelin but we’re unique because we also play a wide selection of songs other bands don’t play. 

Cincinnati Parks’ Explore Nature will also be at this event!

Summer Solstice Drum with Circle Stan White Owl 2:00 – 6:00 pm

Welcome to the 1st annual Summer Solstice Drum circle at Stanbery Park. The Drum Circle is centered on Shamanic style rhythms to resonate group consciousness and enhance trance induction. It is an event of peace and fellowship and all are welcome. Family friendly. Bring blankets to lay out on the grass!  Toca, conga, djembe,tabla,bongo drums will be played. Also other percussion like tambourines and shakers.

Friday Night Fun: Live Music by Candygram, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

​​Candygram is a 6-piece funk/soul/rock band based in Greater Cincinnati. The band consists of Madelaine Novak on vocals, Matt Graser on guitar, Stephen Hastings on keys, Glen Gustafson on trombone, Tommy Peck on bass and Joe DeVol on drums. Madelaine has been singing since age five and has worked with some well-known Philly bands. Her stage show alone is worth admission.

Hot dogs and hamburgers will be grillin’

Vocally driven and attention to detail, while drawing from a wide range of influences like early Beatles/Stones to classic 70’s & 80’s bands, fusion and newer pop.
Covers range from Adele to Zeppelin and all points between.

When the noble Scottish Lord Macbeth sees a path to power open up before him, he is determined to trod that path to its bloody end, consequences (and maybe himself) be damned. With his ruthless wife at his side, the two plot a Machiavellian course to put and to keep Macbeth on the Scottish throne. In Steven Spielberg’s massive blockbuster, paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. While the park’s mastermind, billionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), assures everyone that the facility is safe, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt.

Lights of Hope – September is National Recovery Month! 6:00 – 8:30

This event is our opportunity to educate our community and to honor and support those we know who struggle with SUD (Substance Use Disorder) We do this by lighting candles A White Candle for those who have found Recovery. A Red Candle for those who are still struggling with active addiction. A Black Candle for those who have lost their battle with addiction.
Or a Gray Candle for those who are incarcerated because of their addiction.

Friday Night Fun: Live music by Ben Levin and the Heaters 6:00 – 9:00 pm

Ben Levin is an 18 year old blues/boogie woogie piano player and vocalist from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is one of only a handful of “fourth generation” boogie woogie musicians in the US. Ben started playing professionally at age 11 with his father’s band, the Heaters, and since then has played over 200 gigs in a variety of configurations: with The Heaters, or with his own band, The Ben Levin Trio. Recently, Ben won second place in the solo/duo category of the Cincinnati Blues Challenge with the Ben Levin Duo, and won first place at the Dayton Blues Challenge.

Young Victor Frankenstein (Charlie Tahan) is a science nerd and outsider at school, but he does have one good friend: his dog, Sparky. But then, tragedy strikes, and Sparky shuffles off this mortal coil. Victor is heartbroken, but his science teacher (Martin Landau) gives him an idea of how to jolt old Sparky back to life. The experiment is successful, and all goes well, until Victor’s fellow students steal his secret and use it to resurrect other dead animals — with monstrous consequences.
