SUMMARY:Garlic Mustard Pull Community Project
DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join the Stanbery Park Conservation Team as we work to eradicate invasive plant species from our lovely park. \nThis month are are working on Garlic Mustard! \nLike many invasive plants\, garlic mustard was introduced here from from other countries to help with erosion control. It’s not really garlic like we know garlic- you won’t want to put this in your pasta dish (although the young plants are edible). Rather garlic mustard gives off a scent of garlic when its leaves are crushed. \nThe key to eliminating this species is to get it before it goes to seed\, which is why are will work on this in April. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to bring a free Spring Egg Hunt to the park\, and we would love for your to join us! \nGuests will begin by decorating their egg hunt bag (provided) at the first station at the Stanbery Circle. Children will then be directed to their age appropriate area where they will retrieve their eggs\, which will be empty. They will then exchange their eggs for some tasty treats and toys at the second station. Another station will offer free pictures with the Easter bunny. \nIn partnership with the Mt. Washington Recreation Center\, Mt. Washington Community Council and Mt. Washington Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation.

DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join the Stanbery Park Conservation Team as we work to eradicate invasive plant species from our neighbors at Stern Preserve!\nThis month are are working on removal of Amur Honeysuckle!\nStern Preserve is located off Elstun Road\, at the bottom of the hill by where the new UDF is being constucted. It is a key piece of land that abuts Stanbery Park and acts as a vital link between Mt. Washington and the Little Miami Scenic Trail.\nWe will provide snacks\, water\, tools and instruction. You will provide good working shoes and your time. Together with the Hillside Trust- the owners of the Stern Preserve- we will do at least two of these cleanups as we prepare the land for public use. We hope to see you at the Preserve!
