Happy Bat Appreciation Day!
Did you know that Stanbery Park is home to a small colony of bats? After many years away Little Brown Bats have returned to Stanbery Park. Visit the oval on a warm summer night at dusk and you will likely see them enjoying an evening snack. They are easily identified by their sharp angeled wings and jerky flying pattern.
Scared of bats? We get it. But these little creatures want nothing to do with us. They may fly low at times, but they won't interact with you. They will, however, devour plenty of those pesky mosquitos.

Meet your Stanbery Park conservation team!
We recently met with Cincinnati Parks land and conservation staff to launch our effort for Stanbery Park. Our focus will be removing invasive bushes, vines and flaura, and restoring the 125-acre parks native ecosystem.
We will do this through monthly events directed by the parks staff, and lead by certified volunteers. Stay tuned for future events. Interested in joining our effort? Email info@stanberypark.com or message us here.
